Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant

  THUNDERLIPS  |  New Zealand

Mary is a depressed slacker living at home with a mother who lacks boundaries and spending her days under the covers with tentacular erotica. Her new neighbor, Boo, is her mirror image, an antisocial adult living with his mother and spending most of his time locked in his room. As luck would have it, Boo also happens to be harboring an alien secret in his pants. They seem like they could be a match made in a weirdly perverse heaven, that is until Mary accidentally gets pregnant. To Mary, the fact of her pregnancy is shocking enough, but alien pregnancy dials up the body horror to outrageous heights.

Equal parts hilarious, disgusting, and sweet, Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant—from New Zealand directing tag-team Thunderlips—fills Mary’s fight against impending motherhood with a spectacular array of goopy practical effects to rival fellow Kiwi Peter Jackson’s early films.
