Burgundy

Set in one of the world’s most famous wine regions, Burgundy is a timeless and playful homage to wine-making and wine culture. The film paints a charming portrait of the individuals, both old and young, who participate in its vinaceous rituals: From the venerable white-haired vintner whose estate serves as the story’s luxurious backdrop to his handsome young protégé, as well as the masterfully poetic sommelier and his striving female apprentice.

Cleverly blending elements of documentary and fiction, award-winning American directors Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw (The Truffle Hunters) have crafted an engaging and amenable portrait of the haute société of a French vineyard at a moment of generational and environmental change.
