Ever After
After earning three Michelin stars four years in a row, Curtis Duffy’s restaurant Grace solidified the chef’s place as one of the world’s greatest culinary artists. But in a heartbreaking act of defiance, Duffy walked out after disputes with Grace’s owner in 2017. Never one to back down, Duffy chooses to forge ahead to launch a new restaurant, Ever, in 2020, even in the midst of a global pandemic.
Unfolding with the intensity of an episode of The Bear, this riveting documentary set in the high-stakes world of fine dining follows Duffy’s dramatic efforts to get Ever off the ground, all the way from mass producing burgers to earning two Michelin stars. Featuring intimate and confessional interviews with Duffy, his wife, and colleagues, Ever After paints a portrait of an indefatigable and ambitious master chef, scarred by childhood trauma and derailed by business conflicts yet committed to pursuing his dreams and finding a sense of closure.
