Dear Future Self Erzähl Mir Dein Morgen

A wayward filmmaker, Nico, returns to her hometown to work on a documentary and help lead a storytelling workshop with her childhood friend Lori. During one session, the students are prompted to write to their future selves. As they share their letters, the two educators begin to reexamine their own lives and dreams, causing subtle cracks to appear in their friendship.

Dear Future Self is a keenly observed portrait of a fragile friendship under the weight of uncertainty. Featuring a cast of beautifully realized characters (the two excellent leads are accompanied by a series of memorable supporting performances), the film offers a compelling meditation on two lives at a crossroads.
