A Bit of Light Kami Nour

Ali Asgari  |  Iran, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, Turkey

Arash is at the end of his rope. His medical practice has been shut down for political reasons, and he’s struggling to find reasons to continue living. After making the decision to end his own life, he spends one final day with his siblings and mother to inform them of his grim resolution. Their compassionate, loving response to his news, however, begins to wear at his resolve.

Set in Tehran under the shadow of war, A Bit of Light is an urgent, human expression of life’s mysterious beauty and its ability to puncture despair. It serves as a moving, introspective examination of the small, meaningful moments that keep us connected to one another in uncertain and seemingly hopeless times.
