When the Earth is destroyed by war, an astronaut believes he is the last living human in the universe. His solitary existence is interrupted, though, when he receives a signal from another ship—another astronaut is alive and adrift in space. The two form an instant connection over the radio, and embark on a harrowing journey across the cosmos and toward one another.
