Mimi Plauché, Artistic Director of the Chicago International Film Festival, today announced the first 25 films that will be shown at the 54th Chicago International Film Festival, running Oct. 10 – 21, 2018 at AMC River East, 322 E. Illinois St. The longest-running competitive film festival in North America, the Festival will feature more than 150 films from across the globe and bring legendary actors, master filmmakers, and exciting, emerging talents from around the world to Chicago.
The initial roster of films demonstrates the Festival’s commitment to selecting the best feature films, documentaries, and short films of the year, including notable Oscar contenders and top award winners from the Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals.[…]

Cinema/Chicago and the 54th Chicago International Film Festival has announced the winner of 2018’s poster design competition: Chicago’s own Michael Zhang. Zhang’s design will be the signature look of the Festival, held October 10-21, 2018.
