8:00pm – “Patriot” Pilot: Chicago Premiere
In Amazon’s new dark comedy series, an intelligence officer has a new assignment to prevent Iran from going nuclear, which requires him to forgo all safety nets and assume a “non-official cover” as a mid-level employee at a Midwestern industrial piping firm. Dealing with PTSD, the government’s incompetence, and the intricacies of keeping his day job cause a barrage of ever-escalating fiascos that jeopardize the mission. Chicago writer-director Steve Conrad (“The Pursuit of Happyness”) will be in conversation after the screening. One lucky audience member will also win a walk-on role in the new series, shooting soon in Chicago.
Scheduled to attend: Steve Conrad (Writer/Director), Marc David Alpert (Line Producer), Judy Rhee (Production Designer), Terry O’Quinn (Actor) and Jack C. Newell (Moderator)
