Synopsis

Nominated, Best Documentary, European Film Awards and Sarajevo Film Festival.

An intimate look at the legacy of hate, Srbenka follows the development of Croatian theater director Oliver Frljić’s latest controversial play, which dramatizes the true story of a Serbian girl murdered by Croatian militia in 1991. As the cast confronts still painful Croatia-Serbia divisions and Frljić faces protests from the far-right, adolescent star Nina discloses her own deeply personal connection to the story.
