Let There Be Light Nech je svetlo

Synopsis

This gripping political thriller examines the rise of the extreme far-right in Europe as it takes root in one small town. Returning from his construction job in Germany to celebrate the Christmas holidays at home in the Slovak village of Nowa Huta, happy-go-lucky family man Milan finds his community—and his sons, including teenage Adam—in thrall to a controlling Catholic priest and a paramilitary youth group called The Guard. Milan must learn to confront his own failings before his son is fully led astray.

“The film raises important and provocative questions for which there are no easy answers.”
