Synopsis

“The mix of sexual explicitness and incisive social context with melancholy sensuality should put this distinctive work on the radar of queer film specialists beyond the festival circuit.” –The Hollywood Reporter

In Brazil’s southern city of Porto Alegre, the socially repressed Pedro earns a living performing via webcam. As his alter-ego, Neonboy, he loses all inhibitions as he strips while smearing himself with brightly colored body paint. When exuberant fellow web performer Leo enters his life, Pedro is challenged to make a real human connection. But at what costs? This winner of the Best LGBTQ feature at the Berlin Film Festival is a stirring character study of a vulnerable young gay man finding his voice in an oppressively macho society.
