“Evocative… a melancholic portrait of a young generation left to fight for a new identity.” –Filmuforia

Transformed by revolution and a series of terror attacks, Egypt’s once bustling resort town Sharm El-Sheik now feels like a ghost town. Yet inside a local luxury hotel, a group of young employees strives to earn a living and find human connection. A surrealist study of workers adrift and alone in a desert oasis, Dreamaway offers a wistful depiction of a generation struggling to define itself.

This film is a selection of the International Documentary Competition.
