A Human Position
Synopsis
Working as a journalist in a sleepy, seaside town, Asta has grown tired of covering the uneventful goings-on—recovering from an unnamed trauma, she is looking for meaning in her life and work. When a story about the deportation of a local asylum seeker comes across her desk, Asta is inspired to uncover the truth. The more she learns, the more the case begins to alter every facet of her personal and professional life. Effortlessly loose and appealingly low-key, A Human Position recalls the work of Jim Jarmusch as it finds profound meaning in everyday objects and situations. Careful, stunning compositions and detailed design perfectly echo Asta’s internal struggle.
