Linda, Linda, Linda

  •   Nobuhiro Yamashita
  •   Japan

Synopsis

With only three days left before the big high school talent show, Kyoto, Kei, Nozumi and their new singer, Korean exchange student Son (Doona Bae), need to learn a new song, the rocking ‘80s Japanese classic “Linda Linda.” As the girls bond, eat, practice, nap, and gaze dreamily at passing clouds, they must also deal with everything else that comes with being a teen. Like a Japanese John Hughes movie, Yamashita’s film is a delightful and sensitive tale about coming-of-age. Japanese with subtitles.
