Livestream Filmmaker Q&A:

With writer/director/actress Suzanne Lindon

In this delicate yet intrepid and striking debut, writer-director Suzanne Lindon delivers an astonishingly assured turn as a restless Parisian teen bored by the parties and pastimes of her peers and confronting her sexuality. When she meets Raphaël (Arnaud Valois), an actor nearly 20 years her senior, attraction quickly turns to passion. Despite their age difference, the kindred spirits are drawn to one another, and the two become lovers. But will Suzanne begin to wonder if the more innocent pleasures of youth are passing her by?

“The fact that Lindon herself plays the student… adds yet another tangled layer to a subject that’s already become so controversial in France and elsewhere you need to handle it with heavy-duty gloves.”
