World Cinema Spotlight: South Asia
Spotlight: South Asia kicks off a three-year program highlighting the film culture of a different region of the world each year. This year, Chicago audiences will be introduced to the remarkably exciting work coming out of South Asia.
Program Highlights:
- Gala presentation of Mausam (Seasons of Love) on Friday, October 7, with red carpet appearance by director Pankaj Kapoor, followed by after-party.
- Master classes with renowned Bollywood choreographer Sue Gangwani
- Community and education outreach screenings at venues around the city
- Film premieres from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka including: Azhagarsamy’s Horse, Bol, Kshay, Dekh Indian Circus, Flying Fish, Gandu, Inshallah, Football, Karma, Patang
