Could there actually be a music-thriller-vampire movie about Wall Street with penguins and swashbuckling cats shot on 3D? Of course not! But you sure can brag about having seen that hotly anticipated movie your family, coworkers and Facebook friends want to see. You can even talk about the movie’s Oscar potential like an expert! And the best part of it…you saw it FREE! How cool is that?
For years, we have thrilled audiences with special surprise screenings of films starring the likes of Russell Crowe, Olivia Wilde and Heath Ledger. This year we continue the tradition with another free advance presentation of a most “celebrational” movie! No one will know what they’re seeing until the lights go down, but we can guarantee you will talk about it until the break of dawn. You will write about it in your diary while drinking rum (and coke). You may be getting a call from your broker in the morning and there may be a secret file on you. Well, maybe not before Leonardo, Johnny, Kevin, Antonio, Amy, Colin, Robert, Glenn, Junior, Tom or even Miss Piggy do!
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to show up at the AMC River East 21 wearing your official Chicago International Film Festival gear (or buy one) and you’ll be able to take part in a game of shadows across the big screen.
And remember, the
only way to get a ticket is by wearing a Chicago International Film Festival
shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie. So if you don't have one already, be sure to pick
one up near the AMC Festival box office. The Surprise film takes place
Wednesday, October 19, 8:00 pm at AMC River East 21,
except for some Spotlight:
