The 51st Chicago International Film Festival will be held October 15-29, 2015 and the majority of film screenings and panels take place at the AMC River East 21 (322 E. Illinois St.) with the exception of Opening Night some special presentations and Industry Days. The full schedule will be announced September 21.

Discounted parking available at River East Center Self Park (lower level of AMC River East 21, 300 E. Illinois St.) for $18 up to 8 hours. Please pick up your discounted parking voucher at the Guest Services, Merchandise, or Volunteer tables on the Theater Level.

All films at the Chicago International Film Festival will take place at the AMC River East 21 on 322 E. Illinois St. unless otherwise noted. There is easy access via public transportation! CTA Red Line: Grand Ave. station, walk five blocks east to the theater. CTA Buses: #29 (State St. To Navy Pier), #66 (Chicago Red Line to Navy Pier), #65 (Grand Red Line to Navy Pier).

Many films have multiple screenings, so check to see if you can see it another time. Otherwise, you can try for a RUSH TICKET. Rush tickets are last minute tickets to sold out films. Visit the RUSH COUNTER at the AMC River East 21 30 minutes before show time to see if tickets are available. Cash only.

If you plan to see many films at the Festival, a pass saves you money. Passes are available until October 25 and are available online NOW! Once purchased, passes must be redeemed for tickets in person at either of our box office locations, partial refunds are not issued for passes not fully redeemed.

We recommend arriving to the theater at least 30 minutes in advance of your screening. When you arrive, please find the queue for your screening or inquire with a Festival Volunteer to find out which screen your film is playing on.

Tickets or badges only guarantee admission until 15 minutes prior to the scheduled screening start time. After that, the Festival reserves the right to fill any vacancies with customers who are in the rush line. The Festival does not issue refunds or offer exchanges on any tickets unless the film is cancelled.

Discounts are offered with proof of identification to seniors, students and Festival members. There is no senior or student rate for Opening Night, Tributes, Special Presentations or Closing Night.

All of our theaters offer ADA compliant seating. For Opening Night or Closing Night, please let the ticket agent know at the time of purchase that you will require accessible seating. For other screenings and events, a Festival Volunteer or Theater Manager will assist you.

The Festival proudly showcases a wide range of films that appeal to a broad range of tastes and interest. We recommend you look through the Festival schedule to find a combination of films that suit your taste and others that will broaden your horizons. Most of our films are non rated and may contain adult materials. You are in the best position to make the decision about what is appropriate for your children.

Purchases subject to service charges. We strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance to avoid sold out screenings and lines at the theater. In 2014, over 75% of Festival films were sold out. If you purchase your tickets through the Hotline, please make sure you pick them up before your first screening to avoid lines.
