That’s a wrap!
The 53rd Chicago International Television Festival came to a close Thursday night with our Annual Awards Night Ceremony. The the Gold Hugo winners were FCB-Chicago for their Commercial Campaign “Brewed for Those Who Go the Extra Mile,” The Martin Agency for their Individual Commercial Competition-winning “Figure Skater” and “Raccookin’,” and Chicago Justice for the top Dramatic Program. The evening’s honorees included Amazon Studios receiving a Commitment to Excellence in Television Production Award, Joe Sedelmaier receiving the Chicago Legend Award, and Dean Richards receiving the Chicago Award.
The awards night capped three incredible days of premiere screenings, discussions, and events that highlighted the very best in modern television. From the dynamic, independent pilot “Public Housing Unit.” and the premiere of Amazon’s “American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story” on Tuesday to Wednesday’s screenings of Sundance favorite “When the Streetlights Go On” and a new episode of HBO’s “Crashing” with Pete Holmes, the Chicago International Television Festival was a smashing success!
A big thank you to everyone who attended and everyone who helped put the program together. Here’s to this year and looking forward to the next!
